Christmas Paradise

Disneyland!!!

We have had so much fun lately...

Last week we flew to California with Josh's family (most of them) and visited the Happiest place on earth!....Josh and I went down early and stayed in a sweet hotel (thanks to Priceline!) and enjoyed a day in Long Beach before we met up with the fam. We ate delicious food and took our first Taxi together. The Hilton had the most delicious continental breakfast as well that either of us have ever had. We had such a blast with family and literally loved every second of our getaway and last big trip before our little babe comes!

The new Cars ride that Josh and I stayed in line 90 minutes for...It was worth it though...

Lighting McQueen!

SMALL WORLD...

Disneyland police cars...For my Dad

Josh and I love the time we get to spend with our adorable nephews Urban and Owen... The carousel was one of Urban's favorite rides with Uncle Josh.

Highlights & Memorials of our trip...

Delicious food, spending all week with family, Josh & Andy riding California Screamin' multiple times, chocolate covered frozen bananas, getting nauseous on Star Tours, missing rides due to pregnancy, our Shuttle driver Roger, sharing our hotel room with 6 adults and 2 kids, perfect weather (not too hot or too cold), the AMAZING fireworks show at Disneyland with fake snow afterwards!!! Truly Magical!

Happy Holidays!

Thankful

Thanksgiving was amazing this year. I felt overwhelmed with the joy and gratitude that I felt on that day as well as have been feeling the whole month long. This year, I was in charge of Thanksgiving! It was a blast. But how we do it in the Hill house is someone hosts it, and then divvies out the food assignments. (I don't know how people make the whole thing themselves!) Joshua and I were in charge of sweet potatoes, which were the best I've ever made. As well as couple other veggie and green bean dishes. I swear every year the food gets better and better, and this year, everyone's dishes were seriously top notch. I also made my first homemade banner, that I'm proud of! I am so grateful for my family and for time I get to spend with them. They are so fun. I am grateful for so many things...including this little guy...

My nephew, Ty Ty. Ever since he was born we have had a special connection. He is almost 20 months old, I can't even believe that. He is all smiles, and full of words and hugs, kisses and teases and helpful hands...

Here he is helping Joshua set up our new dining set. CUTEST thing ever. And last but not least, I am SO grateful for my husband. He has put together countless items of furniture the last few months for our home. He puts in long hours at work and does service calls and pretty much works overtime almost every week. He has a humor that is unique and is always entertaining myself and the fam. The time I get to spend with him I truly cherish, and I am grateful that I get to come home to him every night.

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

Quiz time

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vote on Right!>>>>>>≥≥≥≥≥≥≥≥≥≥

On Wednesday, Nov. 21st we turned 18 WEEKS pregnant! 4 and a half months. I have to say that this is going by a lot faster than I imagined it would. A little while ago I started my own private blog on the side, one that no one can see to use for my own personal journal about being pregnant etcetera as well as other things that are significant but more private to myself and Josh (I do better on computer than actually writing it down in a book, agree??)... So while I have been updating and documenting myself, here is a little pregnancy post on this blog. We took a couple pics, side view style...introducing MY baby bump (which to me, appeared earlier than I thought it would too, despite my increase in appetite and all haha ;).

The angle from this one makes my stomach look a lot bigger...

We find out the gender next WEEK!!!

QUIZ...What do u think we're having? Vote at the top RIGHT!

Last October-ish post

I had to post these cute pics before its too long after Halloween. I have to say that this Halloween was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. We were able to do so many things with our friends and family including Halloween parties, hangouts, visits, and a murder mystery dinner which I have always wanted to do! ALL included yummy food and amazing people! Thanks to all our friends who are so fun and wonderful, we LOVE you and thanks for coming to visit our new home!!!

I posted previously that we went to the pumpkin patch and did a carving night with some of our friends!

Ben, Britt and Avery met us at the pumpkin patch before so we could get pumpkins....Katie and I and Josh worked on the spider pumpkin.

Kent and Amber were missing from this pic but here is everyone else. We had hawaiian haystacks and everyone brought amazing desserts!

All the pumpkins!

Our finished product...

Thanks for the fun times everyone!

Fall Time...Part 2

We moved into our house on September 1, 2012! It was a Saturday and so many family members helped us which we were so grateful for! It is so nice having our own home...and own garage, backyard, I could go on! We have been blessed.

At the title company signing the official homeowner papers!

Our new grass in the back that got put in at the end of August...We love our new home and Herriman is such a beautiful place.

Yikes!! I found this one night out by the garbage....it freaked me out so I ran to get Josh, and he caught it cause it was huuuuge and we needed proof. He let it go in the field a couple days later, don't come back spidey!

Things we love about our new place:
  • Having friends and family over to visit
  • Getting to finally park in a garage!! And not going out to a freezing car or having to clean the snow off of it.
  • Just having a garage to put stuff in.
  • Having a balcony- sometimes we sit and eat breakfast out on it
  • A new office space
  • Not having to worry about neighbors above us and how much they can hear of our life etc
  • The beautiful scenery outside our windows of the mountains and valley
  • Our kitchen and GAS stove! Loving it...
  • Our new ward, so many people are new just like us
  • SPACE!!
Things that have caught us off guard about our new home:
  • A slight flood in the basement a couple days after we moved in, from a back up in the sewer system
  • Waiting for the blinds to get put in and feeling creeped on for a couple weeks
  • Bills, and more bills...
  • Getting used to the commute but its way better than we thought
  • Our clubhouse key not working, now it does...hot tub baby
  • BILLS...

Even though it was a little while ago- July/August, we got to attend my friend Jessi's little boy James' 1 year old birthday party! Jessi of course is a fabulous party thrower and made these darling hats which we had to get our picture taken in. Fun times!

Speaking of birthdays...It was this amazing lady's birthday October 8th! (Mama and I at the REAL game). I really couldn't ask for a better, more loving Mother. She is what I aspire to be like when I become a Mom. Every year I adore her more and more and admire her love and patience with all she's been through and for taking care of us and teaching us about the gospel and how to live. I love u MOM.

It was my Moms 60th birthday this year, so we decided to throw a huge surprise bash for her to celebrate her! It was a huge success. Thanks to all her family and friends that came to support her, she was very surprised. This is her amazing cake that we had made! It was awesome.

If you know my MOM, you know she is a spunky, fun loving woman. We decided to use these decorations, it shows her personality.

I decided to throw a murder mystery dinner for some friends a little bit ago. (I was nervous!) I had never thrown one before but it turned out to be way fun. My Mom came over to help me put it together and found Josh's stach for the party. My Mom helps me SO much.

Murder Mystery...

Characters...

In costume and ready to play!

Barbara was the killer...little did anyone know...haha

We had a blast...thanks to everyone having a good time and playing along!

Josh and I also had some friend over to carve pumpkins...We went to the Peterson Family farm to pick out our pumpkins. It was so fun, and it was our first time out to a pumpkin patch!

Hope ya'll have a SpOoKy Halloween tomorrow!

Happy Halloween 2012!

Tune in for one more surprise Halloween update...Coming Soon!
