Baby Week

Its officially baby week...yay! So many emotions, thoughts, etc etc. Trying not to let anxiety or any fears come into play the next 24-48 hours. And Im going to update this today just in case I don't for the next few weeks. I've been trying to think about how to describe expecting a baby. You pretty much have NO idea what to expect. You don't know what the darling thing even looks like, yet it will take up a little tiny yet huge part of your home. You have NO idea what to expect during labor. Don't know what the pain will feel like, hard core contractions etc. So while I am home today getting ready, contemplating, going grocery shopping one last time, getting things finalized and packed, paying last minute bills, I am also going to be praying and staying positive. I am SO grateful to be able to be pregnant and be able to give birth. I am SO excited to experience the unknown so that I can be able to share it with others and be able to have it all to myself. Sighhh. Please pray for US! Oh please. :) On another note...

Congrats to my husband!

Joshua just finished 4 years of electrical school through the community college. Whoo for finishing school! Such a task. I remember when he first started when we first were dating. He's done so much growing and has learned so much about his line of work. He has a lot of experience and now the only thing left is for him to take is his big Journeyman electrical exam this Summer to get officially licensed. We celebrated Friday night by throwing an impromptu surprise party that his awesome family helped me with! Our brother in law BBQ-ed, we had 7 layer dip, yummy potatoes, and awesome company. Its so much fun celebrating and I've been taught in my life that large AND small accomplishments SHOULD be celebrated! I got a cake which I totally spaced taking a picture of, as well as these yummy cookies from Cookies by Design!

I personalized this cookie myself... I also got graduation cap cookies that were adorable but forgot to take a pic of those too...Congrats Babe!

Last but not least...My last pic of being prego. I will actually miss it, but I will be okay without it I think.

Here's to having a week full of tiny hands and toes, precious kisses, smooth birth and labor, and extreme happiness! I truly can't wait to hold my baby.

Husband has been having extreme back pain that he will probably be getting a minor surgery for. Poor guy. He's had blessings and we are praying hard for him to be out of pain this week while we have so many other things going. If you will please pray for us that everything goes smoothly I would appreciate with ALL my heart! Thanks so much!!! Love ya'll.

Time for an update

I went to the Dr this week, definitely making progress but hope to make some here more quickly! Work is getting rough. And today I actually had to stay home because I wasn't feeling well, haven't been able to eat a lot-besides soup/crackers/gatorade etc. Bummer. Anywayyyyy...Onto some updates!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

A couple weeks ago my sister Amy and niece Court painted my fingers and toes out of much desperation from me (I wanted this done before hospital :)) And after, seeing as it was Easter, Amy got this fantastic, crazy idea to paint baby Pace belly as an Easter egg. He he. Im usually a little more modest but, how many times do you get this opportunity? Im always surprised when I see before and after pics! Feeling pretty huge over here...

Nursery Update!

Here are some pics of the updated nursery...

Josh and I inherited a rocker chair (pictured above) from his aunt and uncle Chris and Anne, which we are SO grateful for. They are SO expensive! I had the idea to remodel the chair for the baby's room. After some help from friends we were able to redo it! I've always wanted to do a project for my babe and this was perfect. Here are some before and after pics...

Glider!

The old material was less than appealing...I forgot to take one with the actual cushions on.
My friend Katie and I used De-glosser from Home Depot to rub off the gloss. (I will detail this in a future post). We then let it set for a few minutes and started painting a white coat. We did the first 2 coats (I wore a mask so I could help), and then let it dry. Josh finished it up a few days later, including painting another 1-2 coats and sanding the rough spots, followed by spray gloss.

My other friend Barbara re-did the seat cushions! (More details on this later as well). I bought the fabric and she sewed everything with her amazing sewing skills, which I do not have.  I also saw a cute idea online to add ties to the cushion versus the buttons that button to the back of the chair.

Love the ties!

To say I LOVE this chair is an understatement! It turned out Exactly as I wanted it to and Im so excited to put it to use. SO thankful for good friends!! Barb also made me a carseat cover as well, which is ADORABLE, and threw me a baby shower ~ Baby P loves you Barb!

For the most part, the nursery is complete besides a few minor things. Love getting ready for a baby!

This is baby's room/spot her first few weeks in our bedroom. We got this awesome bassinet from my mother in law- I love hand-me-downs. So cute.

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that helped with and attended my baby showers! I've had so much fun seeing everyone and more fun celebrating our baby girl to come. My sisters threw me a family shower, of which is the only one I have pics of so far....sorry folks! Hope to get more...Thanks so much for your love and support!

I love my G-mas...!

Best Mom Ever...

Lastly, here's a pic of me at 38 1/2 weeks. Yes, Im getting swollen, and uncomfortable. Im on my feet all day, so I have an excuse somewhat :)

Positive baby vibes appreciated! Last days as a single couple!

Can't wait to meet our little girl :)
