K-9 Protection

So, I got this a few years ago after a friend downloaded it on my computer. I didn't think much of it until the last year or so when I got married and talked to people who were having computer issues- random things popping up, wrong websites, addiction problems etc. Having known individuals personally who have struggled with certain issues, (you may know some too or may not even be aware) I know that this is so important to protect for our individual happiness, So...let me explain what this is!

K-9 Protection is a FREE and easy application that you download on your computer to protect your family from un-welcome internet access etc. It is easy to download, make a password (You can have someone you know make a password for your family so no one knows), and utilize. It has been Awesome and I just wanted to spread the word! It is also becoming really popular due to its success and was featured in the New York Times this last year.
  • Go To: http://www1.k9webprotection.com/, And download FREE

  • Become a fan on Facebook also...Go To: http://www.facebook.com/pages/K9-Web-Protection-by-Blue-Coat-Systems/215414518798

I just got an email today also, saying that it is now available for iphones etc! Here are the directions:

Installing K9 on Your Apple Mobile Device

Do the following to install K9 Web Protection Browser:

  1. Go to the App Store and search for "K9".

  2. Install the K9 Web Protection Browser app.

  3. Disable the built-in web browser by following the steps here.

  4. If you like the app, please rate it in the App Store (we love 5-star ratings!) and leave a positive review. This will help others find the app more easily.

"Because families are eternal, we cannot afford to be casual or complacent about those relationships. Much of the great work of this society in the past has been centered in helping Latter-day Saint women strengthen families, with emphasis on improving our nurturing skills—homemaking skills, parenting skills, and marriage skills. Families mean work, but they are our great work—and we are not afraid of work. This is what we do best; no one does families better than the sisters of this Relief Society. We uphold, nourish, and protect them."- Julie B. Beck, 2007

I feel very strongly about this, so tell your family and friends... Consider this my #2 Health post focused on mental health and happiness :)

I would love to know if this worked for you, and let me know if you have any questions!!!
